We are thrilled to announce that the Siparantum Choir, renowned for its exceptional musical achievements on the international stage, has been selected to join the Wiener Singakademie at the Silvester Concerts of the Wiener Konzerthaus. This prestigious event is scheduled from December 28, 2023, to January 2, 2024.

Event Details:

The Siparantum Choir will participate as guest performers in the traditional rendition of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, a key highlight of the New Year Celebrations at the Wiener Konzerthaus for the past 26 years. These concerts, conducted by the esteemed Omer Meir Wellber, promise to be extraordinary musical experiences.

Minister Çeku met with conductor and choir leader Memli Kelmendi today, congratulating him on his recent success: winning the gold medal at the Grand Prix of Nations in Sweden.
Together, they discussed the choir’s activities, challenges, current affairs, and plans for the rest of the year.
The Ministry of Culture is the main supporter of the Siparantum Choir.

The WCCN aims to enhance and promote the field of choral conducting on a global scale, emphasizing its importance within the global society and the musical community. Memli is among the founding members who have significantly contributed to establishing the WCCN.

Today, the conductor of Kori Siparantum, Memli Kelmendi, met with the Ambassador of Kosovo in Stockholm, Mrs. Shkendije Geci-Sherifi, and representatives of the Embassy.
The conductor expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for its support, cooperation, and support in promoting the country’s culture abroad, especially in the participation of the Siparantum Choir in the European Choir Games & Grand Prix of Nations, Sweden.

Moments from the first concert of the Siparantum Choir at the Arbetets Museum in NORRKÖPING, Sweden, as part of the #FriendShip Concert program. With a rich and sensitive program dedicated to the music of Albanian composers, the choir received great praise. Participating choirs from various European countries, including Slovenia, Sweden, Belgium, etc., contributed to this musical wealth.
