Quo Vadis Choral Music 2023 is an exchange podium specifically curated for conductors, composers, choir managers, and other professionals in the choral music scene. It serves as a pivotal platform to explore the current development and future direction of choral music and enable collaborations between professional and amateur entities of the choral sector.

The conductor of the Siparantum Choir, Mr. Memli Kelmendi, met in Vienna with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Lulzim Pllana. In this meeting, Ambassador Pllana was informed about the upcoming concerts of the Siparantum Choir in Vienna, which are planned for 2023/2024. The possibilities of cultural cooperation were also discussed.

Për afër tetë viteve, Kori Siparantum, i përbërë nga 52 këngëtarë të përkushtuar, ka punuar pa ndërprerje në një bazë vullnetare për të ngritur zërin e tyre për paqe. Ata përpiqen të ndërtojnë marrëdhënie të reja, të inkurajojnë bashkëpunime, të pasurojnë kulturën, të ofrojnë mundësi për të rinjtë dhe të tregojnë Kosovën me krenari të paimagjinueshme. Muzika e tyre ka dekoruar skenat më prestigjioze të botës, duke siguruar që Kosova të dëgjohet dhe të shihet, përtej kufijve.
Por misioni i tyre shtrihet përtej performancave. Kori Siparantum synon të shërojë zemrat e njerëzve, të riparojë plagët e luftës dhe të ruajë trashëgiminë kulturore njëherë të bukur. Ata janë personifikimi i rezistencës dhe unitetit.
Sot, ju ftojmë të na bashkoheni në mbështetjen e Korit Siparantum, ylli ndritur i skenës muzikore të Kosovës. Themeluar në vitin 2017 nga një grup i ndryshuar individësh që ndanin një ëndërr të përbashkët, kori ynë personifikon gëzimin e këndimit, bashkëpunimit dhe miqësisë. Përkushtimi i tyre i pandalshëm i ka mundësuar atyre të përfaqësojnë kulturën e pasur të Kosovës në skenën globale.
Nën udhëheqjen e dirigjentit frymëzues, Memli Kelmendit, Kori Siparantum ka mahnitur audiencat në Gjermani, Portugal, Francë, Zvicër, Itali, Belgjikë, Kroaci, Slloveni, Maqedoni Veriore, Shqipëri dhe shumë vende të tjera. Talentin dhe përkushtimin e tyre i kanë sjellë katër medalje të arta, duke i shtuar pasurisë kombëtare të Kosovës.
Duke mbështetur Korin Siparantum, ju jo vetëm që po përkrahni fuqinë e muzikës për të shëruar dhe unifikuar, por gjithashtu po kontribuoni në rritjen dhe zhvillimin e trashëgimisë kulturore të gjallë të Kosovës. Së bashku, le të ndihmojmë këta këngëtarë të rinj të jashtëzakonshëm të vazhdojnë udhëtimin e tyre të mrekullueshëm, duke frymëzuar shpresë, duke festuar diversitetin dhe duke sjellë gëzim audiencave në të gjithë botën

Dhe tani, Kori Siparantum po pret një mundësi të jashtëzakonshme! Ata kanë marrë një ftesë prestigjioze për të marrë pjesë në Lojërat Botërore të Korëve të 12-ta të vitit 2023, që do të mbahen nga 3-13 korrik 2023, në Gangneung, Republiken e Kores. Ky është një rast për të rinjtë talentuar të Kosovës të ndriçojnë në skenën globale, të përfshihen në muzikën botërore, të krijohen lidhje të reja dhe të tregojnë me krenari kulturën dhe aspiratat e vendit të tyre.

After a one-year delay, the World Choir Games will return to Korea in 2023, with Gangneung chosen as the host city. This marks the second time a Korean city has been selected for this esteemed event.

On Saturday, May 20th, at 8:00 PM, the premiere concert by the Siparantum choir took place at “Jusuf Gervalla” Cinema. The concert was attended by numerous art enthusiasts who had the opportunity to experience the performance, which has been acclaimed as one of the best in the group’s six-year history. In the first part of the concert, the choir performed the works: ‘The Rose’ for mixed choir, piano (Agron Shujaku), and string quartet (Cresere Berlin String Quartet) by composer Ola Gjeilo, ‘Fire’ by Katerina Gimon featuring Fidan Strumcaku on bass drum, and ‘My Song’ by Ēriks Ešenvalds performed by Kaltrina Miftari, soprano, accompanied by Agron Shujaku. The choir was conducted by Memli Kelmendi.
During your stay in Berlin, Siparantum Choir had the incredible opportunity to hold a workshop with the renowned composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. Ešenvalds is known for his exceptional choral compositions that are celebrated worldwide for their innovation and artistic depth. The workshop was a transformative experience for Siparantum Choir, as we gained new perspectives and honed their skills under the tutelage of a world-class composer.
At the end of the workshop, Ešenvalds expressed his admiration for Siparantum Choir, praising their musicality, dedication, and passion.

One of the compositions created during the workshop, titled ‘My Song’ by Ēriks Ešenvalds, was performed by soprano Kaltrina Miftari, accompanied by pianist Agron Shujaku, at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall on April 16th, under the direction of Memli Kelmendi.

The Final Concert was made truly magical by the enchanting sounds of composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, featuring his most beautiful works such as ‘Rivers of Light,’ ‘She Walks in Beauty,’ ‘My Song,’ ‘Greetings,’ ‘O Salutaris Hostia,’ ‘The Heavens Flock,’ and ‘Only in Sleep.’ This will surely remain one of our most cherished experiences!

From April 12-April 16, the Siparantum Choir will again take the stage of the #BerlinerPhilharmoniker, this time with the most sought-after and performed composer and conductor in the world today, #ĒriksEšenvalds.
During the days of stay in Berlin, the Siparantum Choir will have the opportunity to work intensively with the rich choral repertoire of Ēriks Ešenvalds (the most famous works), which will be performed in the Grand Concert of the final evening at the Berlin Philharmonic, the evening of which is directed by Ešenvalds. In advance, the program will be preceded by a concert with works that we will work on during the Workshop with Ešenvalds continue the concert, where we will present two pieces by the choral composers of the composer’s Ola Gjeilo (in collaboration with the string quartet Quartett Crescere, Berlin) and Fire by Katerina Gimon, this program directed by me.
The choir will have two more concerts, with selected choirs, on April 12 and 13 in St. Matthäus Kirche, Berlin.
